all the microchipping, worms checking, fleas, ticks, whats spraying?, neutering, and other stuff, not food or houses or beds, just the stuff that vets help with. im trying to show my parents im responsible enough to get this chihuahua that my friend can give me for 100 dollars, a puppy, and i need to know prices to prove t so i can surprise them and try to get my bro on my side. hes on no1s rite now.
"Somebody" posted and it’s right about on with the average of about $600 a year between vaccines, spay/neuter and having the dog on heartworm and flea and tick preventative monthly. We have an almost 3 YO large breed dog that’s very healthy and that’s about what’s in our budget for her.
BUT: remember that there’s always that chance that you need to expect the unexpected: the dog eats something stupid , gets a cut, comes down with even a short-term illness and you can add $500- $1000 on to that.
To be on the safe side, realistically budget about $100 a month.
