any tips on maltese dogs excessive barking?

Posted on June 26th, 2010 by admin

I have a 2yr old maltese that barks excessively at any little noise or person..how do i get it under control. it is very annoying to me and my guest.

maltese are yappy dogs… next time I suggest just getting a different breed lol… but really it is the nature of the breed to bark obnoxiously at little things… theres not a whole lot you can do about it.

Posted on June 20th, 2010 by admin

do i let her have the pups or not this wasnt ment to happen yet so young i need some advice

If you *KNOW* she’s bred(how’d THAT happen? YOUR FAULT!!!),it’s too late for chemical treatment.

Yes,you can spay NOW! DO IT! Your dog will be WAY better off.

Yes,she’s WAY too young! You are guilty of neglect & mis-management.

Hurt your feelings? Make you feel worse? GOOD!

Do maltese dogs make your house smell bad?

Posted on June 17th, 2010 by admin

I am thinking about buying a maltese but I don’t want my house to smell bad! Do maltese dogs make your house smell awful?

I have two Maltese and they in no way make my house smell bad. Because Maltese have hair that barely sheds and a minimal amount of dander they don’t really have that "doggie" smell.

I crate trained my Maltese and we had minimal accidents in the house.

How big do Maltese and Multipoo dogs get?

Posted on April 16th, 2010 by admin

I want another dog and im trying to decide b/w a maltese and a maltipoo.
Anyone know how big do they get or which one I should get?

They range from 2 1/2 lbs up to 15 lbs. If you want to check my website out visit www.gingersmaltese.com. I breed both maltese and maltipoo’s. Maltese have straight hair and maltipoos have curlier hair. Our maltipoos are 1/4 poddle and 3/4 maltese.

Could someone tell me about Maltese dogs, especially when they’re around 8 years old? Please?

Posted on April 14th, 2010 by admin

I just want to know what their temperament is like when they’re a little older? I am going to foster 2 of them. They are 8 and 9 years old and have been with the same owner since pups. I know they can be different because of how they are raised but just wondering if in general when they’re that old, are they still playful because I have a 3 year old bichon who likes to play. He’s not wild but he is playful and then calm other times.
Oh.. they’re both female.

Although they are definitely adults, small breed dogs tend to stay young longer. These guys are like middle aged. They may play a bit less than your 3 year old, but I think they may enjoy playing. You’ll just have to see.

When maltese poodle mix dogs grow, do they look the same as a puppy?

Posted on April 12th, 2010 by admin

Here is the website:
http://cdn-www.dailypuppy.com/media/dogs/anonymous/che_maltese.jpg_w450.jpg
does it grow up with the same looks?

My Maltepoo ( maltese poodle mix) is absolutely ADORABLE! She has the pinkest skin, softest cotton white hair, light brown nose, and red eyes. She is an albino. But not only is she cute, she has the sweetest disposition. She just loves to be around everyone.
I have had my maltepoo since she was a puppy. Her looks did change a lot. She looked very similar to your photo when she was a puppy, very fuzzy and white. In my own opinion, mine looks more like the maltese than the poodle, but yes, every puppy is different.

Thanks for reading!
