Can 2 AKC pet quality, dogs of the same breed have a "show quality dog"? I was wondering since show dogs can have pet quality.

If the pet quality dogs are themselves offspring of high-quality dogs, it is POSSIBLE, but rare, for them to produce a show quality puppy.

My friend has a little black & brown Shi Tsu. She calls him her "Chinese Dog" He loves playing with the family children, but otherwise has no dog friends or playmates. Do you have any suggestions to make ? Would it be good to buy more Shi Tsus or are there other dogs that also might fit into the family.

Also, please be so kind as to say what you feed your dog(s).

We would be more than happy to help u out. For dogs at home we recommend veg and curd rice without sweetness, salt and spices. Dry food can be given once a day along with home food the other times. Our vet recommends curd rice, its a probiotic too.

Some people have several dogs at one time. Is it because one is insufficient? Why do people keep 3,5,7 even 10 dogs at one time? How do you feed them all and take care of their vet bills?

I have unemployed Border Collies left over from the days when we raised sheep.
They sometimes get so bored they herd each other.
But they are old, and I am grateful for their years of service around the farm.

whats a good pet a kid could take care of. No cats and dogs. Maybe an exotic pet. something of that sort.

there are lot’s of great types of pets out there. I suggest going to a shelter or looking at petfinder.com. You would be greatly improving the life of that animal. Here are a few types of animals good for kids with adult super vision:
guinea pigs (really awesome pets)
ferrets (the most playful animal that ever lived)
fish
turtles
other reptiles
amphibians
rats (they are REALLY great pets. they can’t get rabies, they are very clean, they live 3-4 years, and they’re really fun to have in the family.)
rabbits
hedhehogs
sugar gliders
budgies
mice
degus (very exotic)

I’m going to buy a pet dog soon & I’m trying to learn what I can about dogs first

Dogs don’t do well being left alone for long periods at a time. If you are not willing to find someone to come over and let them out and give them some socialization during the day. I really don’t think a dog is a good choice. Cats do better when left alone for long periods of time and less maintenance they can be litter box trained. If you are not able to properly care for an animal at this time I would wait until you can devote your time and love for them. They deserve every minute they get.

My father underwent a spine surgery last week and is recovering at home. The sutures have not been removed yet. His worry is whether there are any chances of him catching an infection from our dogs on the incision area.I have 3 adult dogs which are allowed indoors and are never put on leash. He is very worried about it and wants the dogs to be kept outdoors permanently. I do bathe and brush my dogs twice in a week and keep them clean. Any suggestions on this? Thank you in advance.

technically yes there is a chance he could catch an staphylococcus infection from the dogs however! if the wound is covered and redressed on a regular basis then he will be fine. Many people have indoor pets and undergo surgery, dogs can actually help in the recovery to surgery.

so yes there is a chance but if you live in a clean environment and the dressing is changed as it should be using all the usual precautions that a district nurse should use then you are fine.

i know if i had any type of surgery i wouldn’t kick the dog out id still let the beefer lay on my bed

But after this following incident today with my neighbors pet dog I’m not sure.
Today I let my neighbors dog lick my hand and the dogs tongue smelled like S_it from an as_ and the tongue had tiny brown pieces on it.

It is said that a dog’s mouth is cleaner then a humans. So, keep that in mind. Oh, and with the number of people who don’t wash after wiping, it can be just as bad as shaking someone’s hand. Best to just wash after a licking, and never let them lick your face. It is so disgusting to watch people "kiss" their dogs.
