Miniature poodle, not toy. Chinese Crested Powder Puff(can be very expensive..) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bichon Frise, Shih-Tzu..Papillons are wonderful and intellegent :]

Schnauzers are very good dogs..though grooming is a must.

I would suggest, coton de tulear. They are companion dogs, very cute, sweet-natured, smart, easy to train, responding well to praise, gentle, playful, fun-loving, energetic and generally don’t bark. They are very sociable dogs that get along well with children, other dogs and animals.

Miniature Schnauzer. We’ve had one since we were little kids. We’re now adults and he is 14yrs old and still feisty. He’s very obedient and loving. They don’t shed. Wonderful dog.

Poodles don’t shed hair and they make great family pets. They love to play with children and they’ll definitely bond your family together!

shih tzu- They are very friendly and sweet. They cost from $300-$450 where I am from in california. They do not have a shed cycle but do need to be trimmed every few months. I have a 3 year old male shih tzu, he is fun and has a outgoing personality. Good Luck

I recommend a shih tzu. I have owned and or been around yorkies, laso-alpsa(sp?) and shih tzus and the shih tzus seem to have the best temperament and shed very little. They do require a lot of grooming though.
