the problem is many of these dog are not structurally sound, that is why guide dogs are selectivley bred to reduce hip and elbow dysplasia

No poor animal …
No poor animal should be put down because no one deems it worthy of a nice home. We are the greatest country in the world but fall very short on compassion! Everything is thought of throw away in this society.We’re the makers of our own demise.

I don’t see why this isn’t normal. Every state should have some type of program like this. As many cities as possible could jump on board with this.
The psychological benefits could be enormous.
