i would like to get a german shephard or a labrador but it has to be puppies.

go to your humane society they have a lot of good dogs there.

   I would check your local shelter first.

   You can also try petfinder.com

   Or see if anything is on craigslist

   Call the public library and get the phone number for your local kennel club. They can furnish names and numbers of reputable breeders in your area. With large dogs like shepherds, it is important to buy from a reputable breeder because of the high incidence of hip problems in large dogs.
