Pet store pups and kitts banned?

Litters of puppies and kittens are becoming rare in metro area pet stores. In fact– selling dogs or cats in a pet store– is a practice that’s already been banned in Albuquerque and Edgewood. Now, the city of Rio Rancho is looking at taking similar steps. It’s all part of a 14 month effort by the Rio Rancho Animal Welfare Task Force. Last week the group presented more than a hundred pages of recommendations to the city council– all centered around the health and safety of animals.
