Dogs

My dog has Gastroenteritis and has been put on a diet of boiled chicken & rice, Why is that?

   Chicken and Rice are easy things for dogs to digest, and it is very rare that a dog have allergies to them.

   Good source of fibre. No acidity, good source of protein. No fat. The chicken fats are good for the body (arthritis, liver kidney etc).

   because those ingredients keep the dog from vomiting. They are very bland foods.

   It rests the stomach and allows it to heal. I’m suprised you haven’t had to starve him for 24 hours before the rice and chicken diet.

   Same reason you would give it to a human. Very simple and will not upset your stomach.
   It is easy to digest, the carbs from the rice will keep his stools binded and the protein from the chicken will help keep him strong.

    It’s easily digestive, attractive for him to eat and contains all he needs to get better.

    My boy, Boston, has a dodgy tummy. Burgess Supadog Sensitive is the one that gives him all he needs and no upsets.

    its to help the digestive system work properly, as its a light diet and wont upset any dogs tummy!!
    it is full of nutrition so it will help build the dogs strength day by day.
    there is also an alternative you could give your dog scrambled egg that is also a light meal and it wont upset your dogs tummy!! my dog needed to eat it when he was ill!!!

    It is very easy for them to digest. Rice is easy for anyone to eat. Plus, they like it because of the chicken meat.

    Think of it like when humans eat chicken soup when they’re sick. Easy on the stomach.
